fMRI Workshops

Workshops are an excellent way to learn neuroimaging concepts and and develop practical fMRI analysis skills. Currently I offer workshops covering SPM, FSL, AFNI, and FreeSurfer, and this year I will be traveling to give workshops at different universities within the U.S. If you would like to schedule a workshop, contact me through this form.

UMass Amherst - June 1st and June 8th, 2018

This course will cover the fundamentals of FSL, in addition to more advanced features such as Independent Components Analysis (ICA), non-parametric tests, and scripting analyses. Click here for more details.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - October 4th & 5th, 2018

This fall we will be going to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for an AFNI start-to-finish workshop. We will also introduce some more advanced concepts, such as graph theory and MVPA. Click here for more details!

UMass Amherst - October 26th and 27th, 2018

We will be hosting another workshop at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on Graph Theory and the CONN Toolbox. Click here for more details.

The Ohio State University - February 29 & March 1st, 2020

Our first workshop of 2020 will be at The Ohio State University, focusing on pitfalls in fMRI analyses and an overview of how to do resting-state analyses with the CONN toolbox. A schedule can be found here.

Indiana University - November 15th & 16th, 2019

This November we will be hosting an AFNI and FreeSurfer workshop at Indiana University! Click here for more details.

Georgia State University - January 24th, 2021

We’re back - virtually! We will be giving a short workshop focusing on cluster correction and how to apply it correctly using AFNI’s 3dttest++ command. We will also be reviewing Equitable Clustering and Thresholding, which balances false positive rates between different clusters.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - October 28th, and 29th, 2021

We return to Milwaukee for an AFNI and FreeSurfer workshop. Click here for more details!

Harvard University - March 25th, 26th, & April 2nd

We continue our series of virtual workshops at Harvard University with an introduction to FSL. Details about what we will be covering can be found here.

University of Washington - March 22nd - 24th, 2023

We will be visiting beautiful Seattle for a workshop on functional connectivity and MVPA. Click here for more details!

University of Florida - May 18th-19th, 2023

This spring we go to sunny Gainesville, Florida, for an AFNI workshop - and we’ll learn about analyzing animal brain data too! Click here for more details.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - May 23rd - 24th, 2023

We return to Milwaukee for a machine learning workshop. Click here for more details!
